PHC Group Announces Integration of Subsidiaries Wemex Corporation and Wemex Healthcare Systems Corporation to Accelerate Response to Evolving Healthcare IT Needs in Japan

PHC Holdings Corporation (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, President, Representative Director and CEO: Kyoko Deguchi, hereafter PHCHD) announces today its subsidiary, Wemex Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President, Representative Director: Hideaki Takahashi; hereafter Wemex) has absorbed its subsidiary, Wemex Healthcare Systems Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President, Representative Director: Junji Obara; hereafter WHS). This integration aligns with PHC Group's Value Creation Plan 2027^*1 and aims to improve portfolio management, foster synergy, and accelerate the rollout of cloud-based solutions to support the digital transformation of healthcare as promoted by the Japanese government.

WHS was formed in 2023 when PHCHD acquired the business related to electronic medical record and medical-receipt systems from FUJIFILM Healthcare Systems Corporation^*2. As subsidiaries of PHCHD, Wemex and WHS have been working to enhance organizational efficiency through product integration, office consolidation, and personnel exchanges since the acquisition. This integration will strengthen the organization, streamline decision-making, and create synergies that will improve operational efficiency. As of October 1, 2025, the integrated company will have a customer base of over 55,000 customers in Japan. This integration will also establish a framework that optimizes the use of management resources.

Kyoko Deguchi, President, Representative Director and CEO of PHCHD, said, "This integration will advance PHC Group’s portfolio management efforts as outlined in our Value Creation Plan 2027.
